We’re proud to earn high marks for our dedication to inclusive, equitable care for LGBT patients and their families, who often face significant challenges in securing adequate health care. The Eisenhower Health family has been recognized for three consecutive years as a leader in LGBT health care equality in the Healthcare Equality Index, an annual survey conducted by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. Facilities awarded this title meet key criteria for equitable care, including enforcement of nondiscrimination policies for LGBT patients, families, visitors and employees; the guarantee of equal visitation rights for same-sex spouses, partners and parents; and LGBT education for key staff members.
